Ubi - Car Servicing Pits

Being a mechanical servicing pit supplier is no easy when you only have the PDF plan of the existing building. In this order, the client require me to estimate the plan and plot according to his rough sketches. The supplier is required to maximize the usage of space within the yellow highlighted area. They also need to know how many cars can be parked when the servicing pit is full.

Below are some samples for viewing. Thanks!

Building Information Modelling

Hi people, looks like my company has started sending people to attend this course on Building Information Modelling - BIM. This is a pretty new software to us because M&E seldom deal with 3D object. This software allow user to plot a 2D diagram and slowly convert it to 3D objects which is extremely useful in illustration.

"Benefit from greater insight using Autodesk’s intelligent model-based Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions for planning, design, construction, and management of your building, infrastructure, or plant projects. Autodesk’s broad portfolio of tools for design, simulation, visualization, and collaboration can help you extend the power of BIM and remove the barriers to better business." - Autodesk

Ofcourse, it is not cheap to own this software just like any other Autodesk products. However, if it really helps you in your business, you should not hesitate further.

All you need is Microsoft Excel or simply a pen, paper and calculator. Before we begin, below are some of the formulas that you need to know:

Load (W) / 0.85 = Power (VA)
Power (VA) / Voltage (V) = Current (A)
